luggage forwarding on swiss rail

Hi all--
Is it still possible to send luggage from one train station to another? We travel from Basel to Lucerne by train, then fly out of Zurich 2 days later. So if I am correct, upon arriving at the Basel station, I should be able to send unneeded luggage ahead to Zurich flughaven station, since my flight is only 2 days later?

I have read conflicting info. One board somewhere said this service was no longer available--another said this was possible but that I would have to purchase both my Basel-to-Lucerne and Lucerne-to-Zurich Flughaven tickets before I would be able to ship luggage ahead.

It's my hope to appear like I somewhat know what I am doing when I get to the Basel station. Thanks in advance!

Thanks @Jazz+Travels --for some reason I had a brain cramp and never stumbled upon that page. So it does sound like I need to produce train tickets for Basel-Luzern and Luzern-Zurich or they won't forward my bags.

Also, if I understand correctly, most Swiss train tickets are for a particular day, not for a particular time? I think on one of the episodes Rick Steves mentioned if you miss a train, just take the next one.

The ship ahead luggage program used to be a lot more user-friendly than it is now. If you are flying Swiss out of Zurich you used to be able to actually Check your bag all the way onto your flight. You could also checkin and receive a boarding pass at the point where you shop your luggage.
