Lugano Switzerland

I stayed in Melide, just 10 minutes by car or train from Lugano. They've refurbished the Hotel Riviera, along with the prices, since I stayed. Still, the peaceful view from my balcony is burned into my brain as an all time favorite stay.

I recall that beach may be tiny, but the views from the lakeside rooms and breakfast terrace are expansive!

I recall that we walked the 550m from the Melide train station to the hotel. Perhaps the hotel would pick you up.

It is very convenient when arriving by train. At the train station, you take the funicular down to the city center and the hotel is right there.
