Lucerne Hotels

Any recommendations for a hotel in Lucerne that has family rooms (2 adults 2 kids) and won’t cost over 600 dollars a night??? If not, any Airbnb recommendations?

Thanks!

I stayed at Drei Konig about 7 years ago with my daughters. We liked it. We had a huge room, it slept the 3 of us, I can't recall the size of the beds. The staff was nice, the room and common areas were very clean. Our rate included a very nice, large breakfast. Its not right in city center, but close enough.

Thank you! How is the hotel Beau sejour’s location? Is it walking distance to train or old town?

We did walk (thru 3 inches of snow) from the train station to Drei Konig

From the train station, we took a cab to the hotel, due to the amount of luggage we had. For the remainder of our stay, we walked to the old town. It's a beautiful, and flat 10-15 minute walk along the lake. The hotel also provides a complimentary pass which allows free transportation on buses and trains within Zone 10 of the city. The bus stop is very close to the hotel. They have a wonderful outdoor terrace with a view of the lake where you can enjoy breakfast.

Try the Hotel Krone Lucerne. I think they have family rooms. Last summer their price was less than Beau Sejour. They are in the old town on Weinmarkt.

We did consider Hotel Krone, but the dealbreaker for us was they do not have air-conditioning. The temperatures during our stay in Lucerne were in the mid to high 80s.

I’m not sure when Lara is traveling, but it is true that there are only fans in the rooms at the Krone Lucerne. It was warm when we were there in mid-June, but we were ok with the fans on.

Edited to add that we might have chosen the Beau Sejour but it was fully booked. It looked great when we walked by.

I can recommend the Ameron Luzern Hotel Flora. I've stayed there twice.

A five minute walk from the train station and down the street from the Chapel Bridge.

I just booked the Cascada Boutique Hotel, by the train station. I cant vouch for it since we are not going until February, but it had good reviews AND two options for family rooms. We are going off season so it was very reasonable, not sure when you are traveling.
(I also had a hard time finding a place with family rooms that werent tiny, and didn't look super outdated. )

We too have stayed at the Ameron Hotel Flora and thought it was excellent. Great service and location.
