Hi - I didn't realize how many threads I started. I got lots of good advice and now have hotels in Lausanne and Montreux.
Now we are looking for hotels in Lucerne and Geneva for 2 nights in each place. Would like a small hotel or nice B&B rather than a chain hotel for a couple on their honeymoon. They have splurged for 2 nights at a spa in Montreux and so for these hotels would like to be under $200.

Judy - wouldn't your "kids" like to plan part of their own honeymoon??
Of course - in an ideal world that would have been ideal. But, they left yesterday and asked if I would get some hotel information for them and send it along.
I had a very nice stay at the Hotel des Alpes in Luzern. The location is fantastic, right in the old town, very close to a bus stop (for the transit museum), and near the bridge to the train station as well as the other covered bridges.
