Has anyone gone through the process of getting a pcr covid test in luzern? Please share any info/experience.
Does it have to be a PCR test? I used One Doc to find our antigen tests: https://www.onedoc.ch/en/covid-testing-center/lucerne
Not all of them have online booking but it shows several results of places you can go and several have online booking. You will have to click on the testing site to see which kind of tests are offered.
Yeah an antigen test is way cheaper and quicker if all you need is test fly back to the USA.
Unfortunately the current rules for return to Canada are a negative COVID-19 molecular test (PCR, RT-PCR, NAAT, LAMP) result. The test must be taken a maximum of 72 hours before the departure of their last direct flight to Canada. Antigen tests are not accepted.
That makes sense! I hope you can find a place without too much trouble. I saw PCR on a few of the One Doc listings but the rest of the text was in German.
This site has info. on testing in Lucerne:

Looks like the train station has a couple of locations for a PCR test. If you are staying at a hotel, they might be a good resource on testing locations.
Thank you very much!
