Our itinerary is The Bernina Express to Pontresina, Zermatt, Montreax, Murren, then we have 2 days before we catch a river cruise in Basel. Should we spend those 2 days in Zurich or Lucern? Thanks!

Yes, Luzern. Zurich is another cosmopolitan business center, while Luzern is surrounded by mountains and a beautiful lake.

Lucerne, absolutely! While Zürich does have some interesting sights, it's more of a large banking centre. If you decide on Lucerne, have a look at day trips to the top of Mt. Pilatus (I really enjoyed the Gold Round Trip) or one of the other mountains. I also really enjoyed the Transportation Museum. As with anywhere in Switzerland, be sure to pack along a large travel budget.

Thank you also , Ken. It is going to take a BUDGET! We are hoping to use some points and credits. I have decided I won’t splurge but I won’t go so cheap we miss stuff!
