Hello!
Looking for recommendations for an apartment rental service (or specific apartment) in Wengen. We are traveling in June 2025 (I know I’m planning ahead but trying to get a sense of our options). Looking for a two bedroom with some sort of view but otherwise flexible. Prefer not Air BnB. I’ve done a lot of Googling but would love recommendations on a reputable service others have worked with.

Most Swiss mountain communities have a website with listing for holiday apartments and chalets. Here is one for Wengen:

If you click on the “all apartments”:link you will get a nice multi-page full color brochure with a dizzying array of possibilities. Or fill in the form as though you are looking for something next summer, and see what comes up.
We recently rented an apartment for a week through wengen select. Found them on this forum.. The manager is associated with the hotel falken where we had an excellent dinner. The apartment was very nice, clean, well stocked. I felt the management was not as communicative or attentive as I would have expected once full payment was made. No towels on arrival, no extra trash bags, no paper towels etc. small items I know but got tired of having to ask or buy. Wengen apartments seems to have a large number to choose from and a brick and mortar office. I saw their carts at several chalets in the area. I would consider them next time. Wengen is a great base and would return without hesitation.
@lola Thank you! I had found that website but as you mentioned found the options dizzying so was hoping for some “on the ground” recommendations. I will have to spend some more time perusing.
@Kim Thank you so much for your reply. I had found the wengenapartments website and it did look promising. I like the fact that they have a physical office so thank you very much for that intel! Glad to also hear you would return to Wengen…like many others we have debated the pros and cons of the different towns.
The only “on the ground” recommendations I can give you for an apartment would be in Mürren.
In Wengen, we stayed at Hotel Bären, which we liked very much. We chose the half-board option and really enjoyed the breakfasts and dinners in their highly rated restaurant.
They do have a small separate chalet, the “Little Bear”, but it is only two bedrooms and a bath, no kitchen or living room.

@lola Thank you! I’ve been looking at Hotel Bären for both the family room and the chalet. We like the idea of included breakfast but the lack of living space is the only downside. We’ll be in Wengen for a week and with our 5yo, a little extra space is always nice ;).
If you would consider Mürren instead of Wengen, either Oberdorf B or Oberberg A on this page would a good choice. This agency manages them and rents them by the week:

We rented the a 3-bedroom apartment in the Oberdorf building with our son’s family for almost a week in 2018. We loved both the location and the apartment itself. The 2-bedroom apartments look very similar
The location is in the upper village, past the Sports Centrum—-close to Hotel Jungfrau if you find that on Google maps. The up close view is of the Allmendhubel funicular, and the broader view is toward the peaks across the valley. Sunrise and sunset were both lovely from the balcony.
(sorry for the long link) but it was truly fabulous. We were 2 adults, 1 teenager and 1 9 year old. Plenty of rooms, modern amenities and about a 1 mile walk to the house from town center in Wengen. I know that sounds like a lot, but we actually really enjoyed the walk each time because it was so beautiful. My kids are non hikers and this is the most favorite VRBO we have ever rented. The views from the back balcony are outrageously beautiful looking over the Lauterbrunnen valley. We enjoyed Wengen as our "homebase' for 5 days as we traveled by train to all of the towns surrounding (no cars allowed up in Wengen). SO WORTH IT! We are currently planning our summer trip back to Switzerland we loved the alps and this region so much. Have fun
@lauridavis WOW! That place is stunning. Would be hard to leave for me :) I see they are managed by Alpine Holidays too which is one of the agencies I have been considering. So happy to hear you enjoyed Wengen as a base. We, like many others, have been waffling between there and Lauterbrunnen but with views like that I think our mind is made up.
We didn't mind the trains and fenicular trains; we actually enjoyed figuring out each night with the kids which train would be next...very fun. Wengen is very quiet; a couple of restaurants but has everything you need!
Plenty of apartments in Wengen to rent.
