Three women are looking for someplace nice near the route between La Sage and Zinal for one night. We are meeting our partners who are trekking the Walkers Haute route ( they will be in a dorm that night). This will be in late August. We are hoping for a room with three beds. We will have a car and need parking. Thanks for any suggestions! We will have two nights in Zinal with our group, just looking for one night somewhere along our route. Thanks again!

Are you driving between La Sage and Zinal while they hike those stages of the Haute Route? According to Google driving directions, you will descend to the valley and pass through the towns of Sion and Sierre on the way. This is Switzerland’s wine country and both towns offer good tourist facilities and scenery. You should be able to find a good hotel with a triple room (and parking) in either town.
Sion also has a nice little castle to explore..

I was going to say Sion as well. Diccon Bewes' book Slow Train to Switzerland has a long section about Sion if you wanted to read up on it a bit more.
