Hello. I am in the process of searching for lodging in this beautiful part of Switzerland. We are a family of 3 adults & 3 children. Our preference is a chalet or apartment that has great views of the mountains but won't be too difficult to access. If a cable is needed to get to our lodging, that would be okay. Our main interest is the location in terms of mountain view, & easy access to hiking, alpine slide, and other children related activities. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like the Floomzer Toboggan base is at Tannenboden. Top of the run is from the top of the Chruez lift right next to it. Tannenboden is at the top of the 2-stage gondola (detachable cabin lift) that begins at Unterterzen train station, or you can take the 441 Postbus from Sargans. Logistically, the Postbus might be the best route as they generally have luggage bays under the bus. Sargans is a major hub train station so all the express trains will stop there. Anyway, Tannenboden looks like the best area to look for apartments. Look at individual properties to get an idea of the view and amenities.
You can get the schedules at https://www.sbb.ch/en when you get closer timewise, Put in start point, Zurich HB, say, then destination Flumserberg Tannenboden Dorf. You could even put in Paris as the start point and it will show all the connections to within walking distance of your apartment.
