Locking up luggage-Zurich station

I might need to lock up my main carry on luggage (it is your typical "legal" carry on size with wheels) at the train station in Zurich some parts of some days. The last time I was there was 1990s and I left luggage with an attendant but it was a very long line to get the luggage and I almost missed my train.

Are there lockers large enough? Is it safe? Machines that will dispense coins to put in them? How much are they for up to 8 hours?

For example, I will be traveling through Zurich to catch a train to Neuchatel to meet a friend for lunch and then back to Zurich to pick up my luggage and then go on to Lugano. I only have about 15 minutes to catch the Lugano train when I get back from Neuchatel so I need to know how hard this will be. Maybe I would be better off leaving the luggage at Neuchatel station if they have similar services there?

The lockers come two sizes, the smallest will hold one carry-on sized bag. There are change machines next to the lockers. Prices can be found here:

You can also forward baggage to most stations. For same day service you need to drop it off quite early. Details here:

Thank you Michael. Do you happen to know how far of a walk it is from the luggage lockers to the platforms? I would be getting off an Intercity train and then boarding another about 12 minutes later.

I want to add that the link you posted is really great. I did find that Neuchatel has some luggage lockers so I will probably just use those since I will be meeting a friend. If I do not have enough coins I could always borrow from her or have her get me some and bring them

You're welcome the luggage lockers at Zurich are not next to any of the platforms. You have to walk into the main train station building and down an escalator. With a tight connection the location might be problematic. Here's a map of the station:
