Leaving Lucerne, need suggestions from the group...

I'll be in Lucerne for two days and from there I'm headed to Normandy and then to London, all by train. I have two extra days I can spend in Switzerland before leaving for western France. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to see and also, what rail pass do you recommend for the three countries? My dates of travel are July 1-9.

Thanks so much and safe travels!

First the rail pass: That is an easy one. Do not bother. Just buy tickets. For Switzerland getting the Half Fare Card may be usefull, depending on how much you intend to do here.

To get to Normandy you will need to get to Paris first. The route either goes via Basel, or via Lausanne or Geneva, so maybe if you have not seen that part of Switzerland yet two days somewhere on Lake Geneva may just fit the bill.
