Leaving for Zurich in 3 hours?!

I just planned a spur of the moment jaunt to zurich. Less than 3 days. Hoping to do some hiking outside of town.

Is it best to do the zurich card and buy it at the airport? I found a website with some hikes near Zurich and I think that is the game plan. Crest Hike Stoos and maybe the panoramic hike too?

Thoughts? Comments? Words of encouragement?

What do I need I know? I don't normally travel like this but the opportunity arose and I felt the need to embrace it!

Thanks!

Wow, short notice. Zurich is a big business-oriented cosmopolitan city. Dont stay there. Take the train from the convenient airport rail station, and in about an hour you'll be in the much more scenic Luzern, where you'll find the beautiful mountain/lake scenery that people go to Switzerland to see. Also hiking opportunities right there.

Go to Luzern by train when you land. More hiking and panoramic opportunities.

Ditto Luzern. So close and easy train ride from Zurich. Luzern has everything. Mountains, huge lake, river with charming bridges and lovely old town.

Do not stay in Zürich, it is a big city, not mountains. As soon as you land hop on a train.

Suggestion 1: Luzern. Nice town and good base for trips up mountains and on lake boats. 70 mins. from Zürich airport by train. Official website here: http://www.luzern.com/en/index.cfm

Suggestion 2: Jungfrau Region. This is serious mountains with attitude. Choose from one of Mürren, Lauterbrunnen, Wengen Grindelwald. All about 3 hours from Zürich airport by train.
See this "map" to see local geography: https://www.regionalpass-berneroberland.ch/assets/home/REG-Falzprospekt-Panoramakarte-18.pdf
For more info and accommodation see here: https://jungfrauregion.swiss/en/summer/
For hiking, just google "Jungfrau region hiking"

to wet your appetite, this is a photo of Lauterbrunnen, taken from Wengen, Mürren is out of site on top of the cliffs opposite: https://media-cdn.holidaycheck.com/w_1024,h_768,c_fit,q_80/ugc/images/d02a4084-54aa-34cb-86c2-c83a7dbf040d

I looked up "Crest Hike Stoos" ( http://www.luzern.com/en/hike16 ). It is one of dozens of hikes overlooking Lake Luzern. I.e. it is more convenient if you are staying in Luzern.

Words of encouragement? - weather forecast for this weekend is HOT, high 20's °C, with thunderstorms overnight.
Don't fret about transport. There will be a train, there will be a bus or boat, just ask somebody.

What do I need I know? Bring some Franks, it ain't cheap.
