Laveaux Wine express train.

We will be staying in Montreux . I am finding it difficult as to how to catch the Wine express train? It leaves from Cully or Lutry. What is the best way to get there. We have no car.
thanks

You can get just about anywhere in Switzerland on a train or a bus. Just use www.sbb.ch and put in your start and end point.

Looks like best is to take a train to Lutry, 20 to 25 minutes, then walk about 10 minutes down to the lake as both tours leave from the lake piers. Afterward, you could take the boat to Cully for that tour if you like.

There is also the "Train des Vignes" between Vevey to Puidoux -- another wine-themed route over by Montreux. It is basically the 15 minutes up through the Lavaux vineyard terraces. In between Vevey to Puidoux are the stops of Chexbres and Corseaux, with various wine shops and restaurants. It is all very walkable as well, so you might take the "Train des Vignes" up and walk some combination of the trails back down, especially depending on the time of year.
