Lauterbrunnen to Schloss Matzen in Reith to Schliersee, Germany by Rail

Greetings!

I am pursuing the suggestions of going from Zurich to Lauterbrunnen by rail.
But is it hard or easy to then travel to Reith (Schloss Matzen) and then on to
Munich (to pick up a rental car to go to Schliersee, Germany at Timeshare?

Wow! Difficult using public transport to get to Reith. 6 trains and 16+ hours. Here's the route with some alternatives Lauterbrunnen>Reith. And 6 hours Reith>Munich. Might be beneficial to rent a car for the whole trip although there's a hefty charge for renting in Zurich and returning in Munich. If you could, consider flying to Munich driving to Lauterbrunnen and then continuing.

All in all, no real convenient and/or economical way to make this journey.

Reith is a common town name in Austria and I think Philip has the wrong one. Your reference to Schloss Matzen leads me to believe it is Reith-im-Alpbachtal. Still 7 changes from Gimmelwald but only 7 hours 40 minutes. You can look at the schedule at www.bahn.com. Use Brixlegg as your end point station.
If you are staying at the Schloss Matzen, a complimentary local transport card is included. There is a local bus from Brixlegg station (or Jenbach station) to Schloss Matzen.
Moving on, you can take a local S-bahn train to Kufstein, where using the Bayern Ticket, you can get to Scliersee in under 2 hours. The train changes in Munich. Or you can rent a car once you get to Munich.

Better Reith than wrong! My apologies for taking you to the opposite end of Austria. And the trip to Munich is less than 2 hours. Quite a difference. Thanks for picking up on my error.

When using train schedules through SBB or DB, you don't usually need to know the name of the train station, but confirming the full name the town is important.
