Lauterbrunnen to Nice train/plane?

Hello! Thank you for your help.
I plan to be in Lauterbrunnen in September ( 3 days) and than I am traveling to Nice France and I fly out of Barcelona. It seems easier and faster to take a train from lauterbrunnen to Zurich airport and than fly to Nice, rather than taking a 10 hour train with many transfers. It also seems to be about the same price but I have looked at so many websites that I am just getting more confused. Will I be missing out on a cool train experience it I fly?
Also I plan to fly from Nice to Barcelona for the same reason.

Any suggestions?

forget that train ride it is too long, you will fall asleep from boredom; but that would not be good idea because you have to keep an eye open to watch your belongings as people get on and off with all the stops.

I did something similar last month flying from Geneva to Nice on Easy Jet

My reply on your other thread laid out several options. Of those, I thought the EasyJet flight from Geneva was a good combination of price and timing. The direct TGV train from Geneva to Nice goes right down the busy main transport corridor, with very little special scenery. Prices may be similar for each, but the cheapest fares will sell out and probably soon.

Thank you for your help in answering my questions! One more please....can I just go into the airport and purchase a ticket, looking online swiss air seems to be the same price for tomorrow or for Sept 26th. Any idea if it will be the same price ( or close) if I get it at the airport? I'm just not sure I want to purchase a ticket now fearing I may miss a train and not make the flight.....

Have you ever seen the price of airfare stay the same?
It would be very unwise to show up at any airport and try to buy a ticket the same day, not unless you are a wealthy person.
Anytime you deal with a live person rather than online always more expensive. Your only option is to buy the ticket with the most flexibility in case you miss the plane. These kinds of tickets are usually more expensive. Also read everything be for you purchase it.

Why are you afraid of missing your train? Just like home, if you are worried about missing your flight, then you leave a little earlier. I'm thinking that if you just show up at the airport and say "Put me on the next flight to Nice", they'll press the little "sucker" button, and you will suddenly be stuck with paying whatever price they tell you.

Thank you. I just am not 100% sure of where I want to go between Lauterbrunnen and Barcelona. I was not sure if it was like the train stations, you can just go in and buy a train ticket without purchasing one in advance. I was hoping the airport might be similar. But I guess I should just make a decision and purchase flights at least a few days in advance I just cannot commit to purchasing them quite yet. I appreciate your help.
