Lauterbrunnen to Murren to Schilthorn - any discounts available for family with rental car?

I really find this forum helpful.

We are traveling by rental car for 2.5 weeks through Germany and Switzerland, visiting Murren and heading up to Schilthorn if weather is nice.

It's expensive, we are 2 adults, 16 year old and 11 year old.

Are there any discounts we can use for the trip from Lauterbrunnen up to Murren and further to Schilthorn?

We are staying in Murren for 2 nights.

There are swiss junior cards, family cards? Not sure if any would be usable?

Thanks in advance.

If you were to travel around Switzerland on the wonderful trains then it would be very economical for you to purchase a Half Fare Card, then you could get a free Swiss Family Card for you 11 year old and ALL of their Swiss journies would be 100% free. Even up to the expensive Schilthorn and the SUPER expensive Jungfrau. The rest of your family would receive a 50% discount to Schilthorn and Jungfrau. Murren is a place where you could spend several days and not be bored. 2 nights is not nearly enough.

Thank you for this. My husband prefers driving. I love the idea of train travel but not an option.

Are you aware that you will have to park that car in Lauterbrunnen or Steckelberg for the time, and t won't be cheap?

And that if you are originating in Germany (where?) that you will require a mandatory CHF40 window sticker, called a Vignette, to drive on any green signed Swiss road? Failure to display it correctly can (probably will, because they check it at the border) lead to big fines?

And that there are special Swiss road laws that are a bit different from those in Germany?
