Is that doable? Looks like I could get to Lucerne and down to Lugano okay, but then I get a little shaky on how to get to Como (actually Cernobbio) and how long that might take.

Is that doable? Looks like I could get to Lucerne and down to Lugano okay, but then I get a little shaky on how to get to Como (actually Cernobbio) and how long that might take.
There is a regional train from Lugano to Como S. Giovanni every hour at 5 past the hour taking 45 minutes, plus a few more EC trains at other times. At Como S. Giovanni, get a taxi for the 2 miles to Cernobbio.
