Good food and nice outdoor tables at Hotel Oberland in center of town.

Go to Coop and pick up picnic fare - meats, cheeses, breads, olives, etc. Sit under Staubbach and enjoy the view!

We loved dinner at Restaurant Weidstubli. It is located a short walk from the center of town in the middle of a campground! Don't let its location fool you! The Swiss cuisine is expertly prepared and the staff are generous and attentive. We had a wonderful time chatting with them through our meal and after. We were fortunate to dine there in the autumn when the game menu was available. They offered several venison options that were delicious. One in our group thoroughly enjoyed the cordon bleu. Finally, the apfel strudel mit sahne was light and airy with just enough cloves to highlight the beautiful autumn cuisine. Our host at Hotel Staubbach recommended this restaurant and called ahead to secure a table for us. It was an excellent dining recommendation and experience. https://www.weidstuebli.swiss/

I really enjoyed the food at Hotel Oberland and dined there a number of times. Hopefully everything is still the way I remember it.

Wherever you decide to eat, dinner reservations are a must.

We eat most of our lunches out when there and enjoyed pizza in Mürren at the Eiger. Cafe Liv in Mürren is great for coffee and pastry as well as light bites. Hotel Alpenruh is a marvelous and scenic choice. As mentioned above, Weidstübli is great and one of the more reasonably priced choices. As such, dinner reservations are obligatory.

A train stop above Wengen is Restaurant Allmend with a lovely terrace, good food, and a great view. Again, more for lunch than dinner. Not even sure they are open at night.
