Can anyone tell me where this picture is taken from? I was in the BO 20 years ago and I saw a similar view on a postcard and a local told me that it is taken from a hiking trail that leads from Lauterbrunnen to Wengen. I see that there are a few trails that fit that descrption; does anyone know which path this is taken from?

It's definitely from the Wengen side looking back down toward Lauterbrunnen. Unfortunately, I've only taken the train between villages so can't help on trail specifics. Beautiful picture.

The trail 140823 on THIS WEBSITE looks like it might be the one. Check out the photos beside the description of that trail, as one looks very close to the photo in your link.

I got pretty much the same picture while we were riding up on the train from Lauterbrunnen to Jungfraujoch. I took the picture probably 15 minutes into the train ride, way before we reached Wengen. Hope that helps.
