Lausanne / Swiss covid testing

Hi there fellow travelers, what have you found to be the best quickest locations (pharmacies?) for taking a PCR test to get the 72 hour Swiss QR code? I applied for a Swiss covid Cert on the Bern canton website with my passport and CDC covid card but not sure how long it will take to receive. So in the meantime I am seeking the most efficient route of covid testing so I have access to restaurants, museums, etc. Yes it’s 4:20 here but I woke up feeling some anxiety about this whole thing. I am in Lausanne until Tuesday. Thanks

Ask the the people at the front desk at the hotel also. That would be my first instinct if I did not find this in a couple of seconds searching Google https://unilabs.com/node/1817 in a smart phone. Having been to Switzerland 3 times (including last month) everyone speaks English with their native language.

Thank you! This is my third trip to Switzerland also and I’ve traveled to most countries in Europe. But in a covid world with continuously evolving rules and restrictions, this whole thing has gotten me a little restless and off my game. I got vaccinated early and never had to get tested except the San Francisco airport for Hawaii trips and right before this trip for the London leg. So the whole concept of getting tested at a pharmacy or a non-airport location is a foreign concept to me, pun intended. I will check with the front desk this morning also. Thanks for the quick reply

Totally agree with asking your hotel front desk. I also found some Lausanne testing sites from google - I don’t actually need them now because the code I applied for through valais came through - it looked like a lot of the testing facilities are pretty booked up but there were a few appointments available. Another good option could be to ask at the tourist information office or try to contact them on social media (Twitter or Instagram) to ask. Good luck!

I’m in Lausanne now and have seen a bunch of signs for covid testing in the city center so I think it should be pretty easy to get a test here.
