Last 2 days of two week Trip-Itinerary help

Hi,

Need help for last 2 days headed to Zurich for flight.

Coming from Lake Como Menaggio at end of hopefully lovely trip mid sept.

Right now have 1 night in Lugano for next day Gotthard Express. Have seat rez but not ticket yet. Not doing boat.

Should we go catch cogwheel at Arth-Goldau, go to Lucerne walk around? Or just head to Zurich and relax? Think Hotel Adler in Zurich has more of Swiss feel than Hotel Des Alpes in Lucern (tiny Room no view). I know suggestion is to stay in Luzern.

Looked at Bernina route on regional trains from Varenna but pontresina (1 night) to Zurich last day is 3 hrs train ride....not much time last day.
i guess coming from south and lake Como looking for break from boat rides.

Lugano is great! Even without the lake boat the old Gotthard Pass train route is amazing.

Because there is so much to do everywhere in Switzerland Zurich is sometimes forgotten. It has the largest Swiss Museum, great art galleries, and Chagall windows in the Frauenkirche/Framunster. Also Great Restaurants. AND the Alpe Bar/Aelpi Bar.

Thank-you for the suggestions in Zurich! I like that the old town has some Swiss feel. The Aelpli Bar looks like a nice
spot to enjoy Swiss life before we come home.

We are doing the same thing -- ending our trip coming from Lake Como and going to Zurich to fly out and have 2 nights. I have reservations by Mount Blanc -- and if so, what should we see there -- or should we head to Zurich?
