Where could we take a nice walk along the water on either Lake Brienz or Lake Thun? We are looking to be mostly away from vehicle traffic, and in the shade at least some of the time, with pretty views and a calm atmosphere.

It's not a very long walk, but the Brienz waterfront has a nice walking zone from the center of town to the west end. Lots of shade, no vehicles, some playgrounds, some food kiosks.

There's a pretty walk along the shore of Lake Brienz from Iseltwald to the funicular that brings you up to Giessbach Falls. Takes about 1.5 hours. I'm not sure if the trail goes all the way to Brienz because I went up to see the falls and then took a boat ride on the lake. I remember being in the shade for some of the walk, and the views of the lake and mountains were very nice.
