Hi everyone,
I am very excited about my first trip to Switzerland. My brother and I will be doing the Bernina Express (commuter version) and the Glacier Express (tourist version).
Our itinerary looks like:
Day 1: Train from London to Bern
Day 2: Explore Bern
Day 3: Explore Bern and travel to St Moritz
Day 4: Explore St Moritz
Day 5: Bernina Express - St Moritz to Tirano and back
Day 6: Glacier Express, stay in Zermatt
Day 7: Explore Zermatt, travel to Lake Leman region, we are thinking Lausanne or Montreux
Day 8: Explore Lake Leman
Day 9: Travel to Geneva early, explore a little, back to London late on.
The main point of the trip is the two train rides, but we are keen to make the most of our time! It dawned on me today that instead of Leman, perhaps we could go to Oberland and stay more in the mountains before heading to Geneva. At the same time, we don't want to overdo it and it might be that Oberland needs a holiday of its own.
Does our itinerary look reasonable or are there some changes you would make?
Thanks!
