Kayaking-heavy itinerary in Switzerland

Hi, I am interested in going to Switzerland mainly to kayak on calm, scenic lakes. What are some of the must see kayaking spots in Lauterbrunnen Valley and other places? I can spend several days in Switzerland but i have little interest in city life unless it's a city with good kayaking. I have some interest in the best of the mountain views as well. Has anyone done an itinerary like this?
Hi all, I have developed a tentative itinerary for 8 days in Switzerland. I am an avid kayaker and mainly looking forward to kayaking pristine lakes, but also seeing the must-see things in Switzerland like the Matterhorn. I have a tentative itinerary, but if you think that there is anything I am really missing out on, or rushing, let me know. If you have kayaking recommendations, I'm all ears!

June 2 - Bergen (Norway) to Bern (sleep in Bern)

June 3 - Train to Lausanne (sleep in Lausanne); kayaking on Lake Geneva

June 4 - Lausanne golden pass to Luterbrunnen Valley

June 5 - Kayaking and Vistas

June 6 - Gimmelwald or Mürren)

June 7 - Kayaking and vistas

June 8 - Day in Bern (sleep in Bern)

June 9 - Bern to Boston

Your itinerary might be a bit rushed if you want to enjoy the lakes and scenic views of the Alps. To experience several lakes with mountains, you might drop Lake Geneva and Lausanne and go directly to Thun or Interlaken.

Both Lake Brienz and Lake Thun offer kayaking and guided kayak tours. You could stay in Thun, which is smaller or Interlaken. You get great views of the Alps from Thun and from Lake Thun, and Interlaken is only a 30 minute train ride to Lauterbrunnen which is a good starting point for a number of hikes. You can travel to Murren, Wengen, or Stechleberg, which also lead to a number of hikes and scenic views.

There is a river and whitewater kayaking in Lauterbrunnen Valley, but I’m not aware of lakes with kayaking there. So if you want to kayak lakes, then Thun or Interlaken are better choices. Lauterbrunnen or Murren is closer to good hikes and high mountain views.

There are two smaller lakes, Lake Lungern and Lake Sarnen, that should offer kayaking, but I’m not sure if there are rentals there. They are on the way from Interlaken to Lucerne.

For June 8, I assume you’re sleeping in Bern so you can make your flight the next day. It’s about a one and half hour train ride to the Zurich airport from there. Lucerne is a bit closer and offers the option to kayak Lake Lucerne.

While you’re in the Interlaken/Thun area, Bern is a short train ride away, and if you get a day of bad weather, it makes a good day trip with things to do on a rainy day with poor visibility.
