I'm trying to see Jungfraujoch and do the walk from Männlichen to Kleine Schiedegg (Panoramaweg) on the same day next month. The issue I'm finding is that if I do Jungfraujoch first, then I end up doing the walk on the way back down and it's in the less-scenic direction, requiring lots of turning around for photos and views. If I do the walk first, then it's more likely that the mountains will be clouded over by the time I arrive around noon.
Am I missing an obvious solution or will I just have to pick the relatively less worse option? If so, I'm inclined to prioritize Jungfraujoch given the cost of the tickets up there.
Side question: If I book seat reservations for Jungfraujoch, will it be possible to change the return time if needed, or can I wait in the standby line for a different time? I had thought to allocate four hours so that we could hike to the Mönchsjochhütte as well but could see us changing our minds once we're up there.
Thanks! Hard to believe it's only a month away now!
