Itinerary, Please look and recommend

September 15 Fly into Zurich train to Luzerne, stay overnight
September 16 - 21 Murren in the BO
September 21 - 24 Zermatt
September 24 - 26 Vevey
September 26 - 30 Paris and fly out
Would you add or subtract days anywhere. Will hike and spend a lot of time outdoors. Museums are not our thing. Culture, scenery, people, food. That's what we enjoy.

Thank you.

I loved Zermatt but 2 days is probably enough. (Just my opinion.)

I'd give yourself some more time in Lucerne, and skip the Matterhorn, unless it is a bucket list item. I do like the amount of time you're staying in Murren. Again, why do you want to be in Zermatt, when you're in Murren? Enjoy your trip in this beautiful country!

Looks like a good itinerary to me. 9/21 travel to Zermatt and 9/24 depart Zermatt, leaving 2 full days in Zermatt, perfect. Remember, weather is never guaranteed, so the longer you are there, the better the odds you get at least one nice day.

Like Pat mentioned, I’d like 1 or 2 more nights in Lucerne. The boat/train combo to Mt Rigi there is one of my favorite experiences.

But I have to disagree with Pat on Zermatt. Sorry Pat!! 😊 I did a day trip to Zermatt from Montreux this past June and loved it. I can’t wait to go back to spend some more time there.

You’ll have a great time no matter what you decide. Switzerland is fabulous!!

Since you are hikers ( as are we), that plan looks great to me.

Coincidentally, we will be in Switzerland at the same time, staying in Mürren the same dates as you. Then we will go to Bettmeralp instead of Zermatt, as we like the smaller, more low-key (and less expensive) village and the hikes with views of the mighty Aletschgletscher. But Zermatt offers a lot of great hikes too. And if the Matterhorn does come out from behind the clouds during your visit ( which I hope it does) . . . That is one spectacular mountain.
