Hello, my husband and I are doing a short stay in Northern Italy and Switzerland. Right now we are flying into Zurich on Sunday, and then planning to travel to Lake Como (Bellagio) for S, M, T nights. On Wednesday, my thought was then to travel to Berner Oberland - stay over one night (Murren, perhaps), spend most of Thursday hiking, and then head to Lucerne for the remainder of our stay (Friday, Saturday - depart out of Zurich Sunday afternoon).
Does this seem like a good plan? Our Bellagio stay is pretty set in stone, the rest is flexible. I don't mind some scenic travel, but obviously would prefer to be enjoying our location and don't want to end up regretting too much travel time or anything like that. We're in our early 30s, if that matters.
Alternative plan - taking the Bernina Express route from Italy and staying over in Pontresina, or Berguen, etc and then to Lucerne.
Thoughts welcome!
