Itinerary help from Zurich to Geneva

We will be headed for Switzerland once again and wish to take in some new locations besides Luzern. We will be going straight from Zurich to Murren for a 3 night rest to overcome jet lag even tho we have been to Murren 4 times and consider it a not to be missed part of any vacation. We will probably take a day trip to kandersteg and perhaps spend a night at Oeshinensee. We will then make our way towards Geneva where we will depart for home but it is this stretch I could use some guidance as to where to visit. Some ideas I've been researching are Verbier, Gruyere, Sion, Arosa, Gstadd, or should we head towards the Engadine Valley and take in Davos, St. Moritz and that region? How about the Appenzell region? and if so how to work that into the itinerary.

We will have 2 weeks and enjoy the small town, lakes, hiking, and anything outdoors. It is the beauty and culture we are looking for not shopping or city life. We have that now. We don't really need to leave from Geneva but I am thinking that the sites around Lac Lemone might be worth seeing such as Chillion castle, VeyVey, Montreux and then continue around the lake to depart from Geneva. We consider the Bernese Oberland our favorite place in the world and are looking for the other beautiful places, quaint villages, dramatic views, and nature walks to high alpine lakes and waterfalls in Switzerland.

If someone has an itinerary that forms a large loop leading us back to Zurich for departure that could work as well
Any ideas?
