Itinerary help for switzerland, germany and austria travel.

My family of four ( 2 adults and 2 teenagers 14,17) , will be spending four nights in switzerland in may 2020.
We will be coming to switzerland from freiburg germany on may 18th.
Was thinking of wengen in a hotel like edelweiss for four nights and then fly out of switzerland from zurich to mumbai.
Should we base ourselves in wengen or interlaken.
Is the train journey from freiburg to wengen doable?
Our itinerary is arriving in vienna (2 nights) ,salzburg(3 nights), munich(2 nights) , freiburg(2 nights), wengen(4 nights).
We will be using train for travel.

Wengen is in the mountains while Interlaken is next to them. Both are pretty, but Wengen is prettier. Freiburg to Wengen is easily done by train. Are you flying into Vienna? You don't have much time there especially if you will have jet lag.

Yes we are flying into vienna from mumbai, so spending 2 night there before salzburg.
Want to spend less time in big cities and more in smaller ones like salzburg, wengen and freiburg.
Though am sure that vienna is stunning and plenty to see , but we have a time constraint of 13 days.
Also is a day trip to europa park possible from freiburg, if we add one more night there?

Rust is doable - just down the road. Or the train track.

Tallest roller-coaster in Europe.

We just spent a full day @ Europa Park at the end of July. Could have used another 1/2 day to see / do all we wanted to. School was out, and it was a warm sunny day, so it was CROWDED and the ride lines were long. May not be as crowded in May?
