Itinerary help

My husband and I will be traveling to Switzerland with our 22 and 18 year old children during the first week of August. I think I have our itinerary down, but would like any feedback.
Day 1 and 2- arrival and we’ll go straight to Lucerne. We will do Mt. Rigi on day 2. It is also on the national holiday. Any info on the celebrations would be great!
Day 3- panoramic train to Interlaken and Lake Thun/Spiez. Staying in Interlaken
Day 4- Schilithorn/Murren/Gimmewald/the falls. We will walk from Murren to Gimmelwald.
Day 5- Lake Brienz - we will do the falls and probably Aare Gorge
Day 6- Mannilchen and do the Kleine Schiedegg hike. Explore Grindelwald and go to Glacier Canyon. I’ve decided to skip First as I’ve read it’s so crowded and we’ll already have a couple of mountain days. Is this smart?
Day 7- return to Zurich and go to the Lindt factory and do some relaxing sightseeing and shopping.

Am I missing anything important? Anything I should swap out with? I did think about Kandersteg but we don’t want to spend so much time traveling.
Thanks all!

Swiss National Day around Luzern - https://www.luzern.com/en/highlights/national-day

Your plans are fine. Keep them loose and decide which activity to do each day based on the weather - MeteoSwiss app + webcams

I don't know what you mean on Day 4 by "the falls" - Do you mean down in Lauterbrunnen Valley? On Day 4, add in the Birg Thrill Walk on the stop below Schilthorn. Do Schilthorn first and then stop at Birg for the Thrill Walk on the way down.

If you're doing Aare Gorge, I'd skip Grindelwald & Grindelwald Gorge and instead do this....
Interlaken > Grindelwald TERMINAL station (not main) > cable car up to Mannlichen > walk to Kleine Scheidegg (lunch at Restaurant Grindelwaldblick) > walk to Wengernalp > train from there to Wengen - explore the care free village + dinner > train to Lauterbrunnen > Interlaken

Your itinerary looks nicely paced, especially with Lucerne at the start. Visiting Mt. Rigi is a good choice and should offer great views. Since you’ll be there around Swiss National Day, you might get to see some nice celebrations, and once your Switzerland visa is sorted it gives you flexibility to plan around these events. Usually there are traditional events like folk music, local food stalls, and speeches during the day. In many places, bonfires are lit in the mountains and there are fireworks in the evening. Some towns also have small parades, alphorn music, and cultural performances, which can be a fun way to experience local traditions. Transport usually runs, but it can be a bit busier than normal, so it’s good to plan timing in advance.
