I'm thinking of visiting Switzerland either during June or September. I've been there before and saw the major cities but didn't spend much time in the Bernese Oberland Region. Does anyone have a suggestion for an itinerary of must see places in this area? My length of time is flexible.

I recommend taking the Golden Pass train route as far as Interlaken and then connecting with various trains and cable cars to the Bernese Oberland Region. We stayed at the Eiger Guesthouse in Murren for 3 nights. (Wish I had stayed 4 nights!) Great day hikes from the funnicular with lunch and beverage stops along the way at little farms.

Thank you all. The personal opinions definitely add to the information I'm seeing in guide books. Staying in the mountains sounds like the way to go. I appreciate you all taking the time to share your thoughts.
