Itinerary check May 21-June 2

This will be our first time to Switzerland, just the two of us ages 63 and 74.

We are arriving by train from Innsbruck after a few days in Vienna. We enjoy slow travel and gentle walks, but because my husband has some physical limitations due to a neurological disorder, nothing too strenuous. I am hoping the Wengen stay isn't too long as he is a non-hiker.

Lucerne 4 nights
Wengen 5 nights
Montreaux 2 nights
Zurich 1 night

Any suggestions or comments?

Would you like to add some details? I think seeing what kind of things you have already picked out to see and do would help us make suggestions. With day trips, it may not necessarily be too long in Wengen, and of course just staring at the mountains is a fine way to spend a day!

Thank you for the replies!

@ valadelphia: I haven't gotten as far as planning specific day to day activities, actually. I am open to suggestions! My husband is intrigued by Swiss infrastructure so I am imagining taking cable cars and trains up into the mountains and doing light walks as he can manage. I will likely venture out for hikes on my own as well.

@wanderweg: The flight out of Zurich is 2:00 p.m.

Then I’d skip your night in Zurich and just train to the airport the morning of your flight. You can get direct trains from Lausanne to Zurich Flughafen, so if you leave Montreux at 7:49 you’re at the airport by 10:49 - over 3 hours before your flight with less hassle having to move hotels.

Or if your flight is flexible, flying out of Geneva would be even better, even if it’s slightly more expensive.
