Itinerary Advice: Munich/Salzburg/Prague/Switzerland

Posting this in a few different country forums, and would appreciate any advice/thoughts on our upcoming July vacation. Flights (arrive in Munich, depart Zurich) are booked because we found unbeatable deals, so I know we're kinda backtracking a bit, but the open-jaws are set in stone. The priority destination for this trip was/is Switzerland. Have 14 total days, not including travel days, and 15 nights. Here's our initial itinerary thoughts:

Day 1 (Arrive at 8:25am in Munich) - Munich
Day 2 - Munich
Day 3 - Munich
Day 4 - Munich --> Salzburg
Day 5 - Salzburg
Day 6 - Salzburg --> Linz --> Cesky Krumlov
Day 7 - Cesky Krumlov
Day 8 - Cesky Krumlov --> Prague
Day 9 - Prague
Day 10 - Prague
Day 11 - Prague to Switzerland. Planning to fly into Zurich, then train/bus to Gimmelwald
Day 12 - Gimmelwald
Day 13 - Gimmelwald
Day 14 - Gimmelwald --> Lucerne
Day 15 - Lucerne
Day 16 - Early morning bus/train to Zurich Airport from Lucerne to go home :(

Any advice/thoughts? This is what we're thinking, but I'm always open to another perspective and recommendations for how to make the most of our time. We're mid-30s and active, and have been to Europe a few times, so I'm aware we're trying to fit in a lot (like we always do!). Thanks for your time!

Thanks,
Kris

The Switzerland piece looks good. Rail is the way to go in Switzerland. Look into a Swiss rail pass of some kind to economize on the trains, lifts, boats, etc.

I recommend staying in either Lauterbrunnen or Murren rather than Gimmelwald. Gimmelwald is quaint but you can see it in 10 minutes. You will find more restaurants and activity in other places in the Valley, and they are still on the quaint side. By all means see Gimmelwald if you want, but stay somewhere else.

Thanks, Eddie and padams. I've done some very preliminary research on the Swiss travel plans/options, but I was kinda overwhelmed! But I know we'll get one of the options.

And appreciate the advice on where to stay.

Sounds good. You might want to check out the "Bone Church" in Kutna Hora, which is a 30 min train ride from Prague. The Bone Church is a church decorated with thousands of real human bones and skulls. Google image it.
