It looks like you can buy discount Swiss Travel Passes from the Get Your Guide site, has anyone done this before? With a 10% discount code using the GYG saves around $85 bucks, making the total price for 1 adult and 1 youth around $788 for the 15 day pass.
It looks like the same price to me. A 3-day Swiss Travel Pass on get your guide is $271.72. A 3-day Swiss Travel Pass on SBB is CHF 244 ($271).
Not sure why you would want to go through a third party. Just buy from SBB. That’s the place you want to check for trains etc. anyway.
The STP pricing seems to have little if any discounts. A Switzerland Insider video has Greg stating he will get a commission from SBB from the sale of the STP through his site. It will be the same price as from SBB. The benefit is to support his promotion of Switzerland travel. If you are not familiar with Get Your Guide site, then take Carrie's advice and buy through SBB.
The STP is a commissionable product. The list price for a 15-day 2nd class adult is 459 CHF and the youth price is 328 CHF, so that is 787 CHF. At current exchange rate, that would be about $876 USD. When i looked at it through Get Your Guide, CapitalOne found a discount code offering an $86 rebate, so netting a price of $790.
if you want to try, go for it. Caveat emptor.
PS, After I did not make a purchase, Get Your Guide immediately emailed me a 10% discount code. i guess I will be getting spam from them now.
I was able to apply a discount going through the GYG app and saved almost $90 bucks. My total price was $788. Thanks so much.
'Get your guide' uses artificial intelligence to read customers emails and respond to them.. and it cost me $650AUD.
I enquired about the terms and conditions of cancelling my booking, and clearly stated in my email that it 'was just a query and not a request to cancel'.
I received an automatic response saying my 'booking had been cancelled as requested.' and therefore I'm not entitled to a refund.
I can only reach them through email and 99% of the time I get a vague response that's obviously from a robot.
That was three weeks ago and two real people/employees have emailed me admitting that 'get your guide AI was at fault'.. but they are still refusing to refund me the $650.
Get Your Guide are not only lazy and unprofessional, they would rather gaslight clients than admit fault.
I'm going to pursue all my legal rights to get justice. But please everyone, avoid this company, 'Get Your Guide or GYG'.
sonia, the OP (shonda4771) posted this question in February. They probably don't want to fire up this sleeping thread and get notifications all over again.
Much much better to start your own thread to voice your complaint. Welcome aboard with your first post.
