How is this stuff so complicated in 2024? LOL. Seriously. Can I buy a Berner Oberland pass for my phone without needing a paper or hard copy? Same question for train tickets. I bought an itinerary from Lauterbrunnen to Innsbruck. SBB tells me that once I download the tickets they can no longer be exchanged. But I am not certain whether I need a paper ticket printed out, or whether our iphones will suffice. I know these are basic questions, but sometimes these details go disastrously wrong. Any direction would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi,
No paper tickets required. You can buy the pass here: https://www.berneseoberlandpass.ch/. You'll get the passes via email. The passes have a QR code. You can save that to your phone. If you bought the tickets on SBB you should be able to access them through the SBB app.

Thanks for the reply. Its so funny that you need a half fare card, and multiple passes and all this stuff. lol. We aren't worried, but its nice to know. Thanks again.
