Interlaken hotels

The majority of the group here tends to prefer to stay in the Lauterbrunnen Valley in Lauterbrunnen, Mürren or Wengen, but hopefully someone can provide a few hotel suggestions for Interlaken. You could check Trip Advisor.

My family & I stayed at the Boutique Hotel Bellevue. 5-10 minute walk form the train station. WE also loved its location as to the numerous events we had planned in that area. The rooms were on river side. The rooms were excellent. Plenty of restaurants within minutes of this location.
Busses to numerous other locations were a 5 min walk as well.

Interlaken is convenient to get to attractions in other valleys and to Lake Breinz. If hiking is your goal, then the other cities mentioned would be closer. Either way you will have a great trip.

when I first started visiting the Berner Oberland I stayed at one hotel near Interlaken West several times and a couple of guesthouses over the river in Unterseen. I can't really review any of them since it has been so many years - probably 15 since last staying in Interlaken, and the owner of the hotel is no longer with us.

I stay up in Mürren and next may be Wengen, but I no longer stay down out of the mountains in Interlaken.

Like Nigel, we've stayed in Interlaken years ago, but now stay elsewhere, in Brienz for us. In Interlaken there are two youth hostels if you are interested in that. Backpacker's Villa is on the edge of town, and another one is right by the Ost train station.
