Hi Jenny, from the online photos it looks like you will get mountain 'glimpses' rather than a full-on view. I suspect if the view was a selling point they would show photos of it, and also people's reviews would highlight that.

I am pretty sure that Wanderweg is in Mürren for the summer now, perhaps if she sees this post she will be willing to walk past it for you; or you could also always send her a DM, I'm sure she's be happy to respond when she isn't out hiking. ;-)

Rottal is on the Main Street, so it’s very convenient for day trips/shopping/etc. That particular apartment in the building isn’t going to have views from the windows because it’s around the back on the first floor. Upper floors have views. You’ll get some peep views from the patio and across the street is the main spot where tourists stop to take photos. If it’s important to you to sit on a patio or balcony with an epic view right at your place, it’s not the right fit for you. If you want great location and a good apartment with very close access to epic views, it’s great.

Thanks again! I decided to go with Haus Rottal without mountain views from inside. It meets all my other criteria, including cost, and host Philip has been super responsive to all my questions. Also, he has a cat 😺
