Would love to know what to see and what is open that day. Plus is there bag storage at the Geneva airport?
Check their website to see if they're open and be sure to get your tickets in advance, but CERN has a great tour for science lovers. It's free and easily accessed by public transportation.
CERN is probably not at the top of the tourist sites list especially for people who just have a short layover in the city. Geneva is not the quintessential Swiss town but there are some interesting things to see and do.
Like what on the day before Christmas?
Plus is there bag storage at the Geneva airport?
When you googled that question initially, what did you find?
This was what I found. How about you?
Google a Geneva tourism webpage and then locate where you want to visit. Go to their respective websites and see what the hours are for the 24th of December. If nothing is specified, email the places you want to visit with your question.
Hmm, Tim, beg to differ. We were in Geneva for just one night and it was at the top of our list of things to do. Its a wonderful tour. It's a unique place with nothing similar anywhere in Europe. Even my daughter who is less interested in science found the tour exceptional because the information is presented in such an engaging way. Honestly, I would argue that there is little to do in Geneva in comparison to other cities in Switzerland and the only reason we went to Geneva was for CERN. But, that would be my opinion. Tim did you have some ideas for the OP?
In terms of what is open in Geneva on the 24th, my suggestion would be to look at what there might be of interest in Geneva and look at the websites. Some say the Red Cross museum is quite good. Also, I'm not real clear on the question. Is OP looking for restaurants? tourist sites? stores?
