For those of you who may have already completed this Rick Steves tour, were there any locations that you may have visited where you wish you had more time in that location? My wife and I are taking this tour in Sept and we have a few extra days after completing the tour in Bern before we have to be in Strasbourg, FR. So we are considering other Swiss locations to visit before going to Strasbourg. We will be traveling by train and realize that we have many options. We will have spent additional time day tripping out of Luzern before the tour begins so not going there again and have previously spent time in Zurich, Basel, and the Italian Lakes area. So interested if we should spend more time in the Berner Oberland area since only in Murren for 2 nights. Appreciate any thoughts.

I was happy with my choice to go back to the BO for 3 more days. I chose Wengen since the tour stayed in Mürren.

I would go to Murren or Wengen for a few more days to relax after the tour but if you haven’t seen Chamonix, it’s pretty impressive, too.

No one is ever ready to leave the BO. Go back and stay as long as possible!
