Iceland Air flight from PDX to ZUR cancelled and now delayed?

Hi everyone,

I had planned on being in Switzerland by now, however our flight yesterday out of PDX to KEF was delayed and then cancelled. They rebooked us all for the same time today -however we just woke up to another ~ 3 hour delay. This is getting ridiculous (and putting a serious dent in our trip) and I was wondering if anyone had any tips for rebooking/getting refunds or anything like that in these situations. I have already filed a “compensation request” that is mandatory with EU flights that are delayed by 4 hours or more.

It sounds like you've done all you could. The only other option would be to get a full refund and not go on the trip. Airlines dalays and cancellations are "a given" these days, so no one should be really surprised.

I don't see it flying today but it's still on there for tomorrow. I tried using the Flight Status search on Iceland Air.com but it doesn't seem to be working.

You're in a tough spot. Can you call Iceland Air and try to find out why they're not flying the route? Can you come up to SeaTac to leave tomorrow? It looks like that route is going out more reliably.

You have more options if you're willing to spend money or miles to fix the problem and get a refund from Iceland Air later on.

PDX reports that the flight out today went on schedule. I'm curious how the rest of your travel with Iceland Air goes. I'm flying with them out of PDX later this month. First time using them.
