How would you spend 6-7 days in Switzerland (first visit)?

After 8-10 days in Burgundy and Alsace, France, we'll be returning our rental car and want to see some of Switzerland. Thinking 3-4 nights in Murren (the BO looks like a no-brainer) and 2-3 nights in Lucern before taking the train to Zurich for the flight home. For a little more background, we do not like to cram as much as possible into our trips and constantly pack and unpack. Given our 17 nights, 4 places to use as home bases sound about right. Your thoughts? (thanks)

As always, the big question is, "What time of year?".

Sorry for that omission...first three weeks of June.

For two stops in Switzerland, BO and Luzern would be my choice. I would be tempted to squeeze in a day in the French-speaking part - Geneva, Montreux or Lausanne - Just to see the contrast in cultures. But that would be tight.

Hi Roy,

I agree with the 3-4 nights in the BO and 2-3 nights in Luzern. My take, 4 nights BO and 2 nights Luzern. We stayed in Wengen in the BO for 4 nights and 2 nights in Luzern and then tok an early am. train to the airport. We didn't want to leave Wengen and the BO. It was the highlight of our 11 night trip to Switzerland.
