I am planning a trip to France and Switzerland. My husband and I are looking for suggestions on how to spend 2 days/nites between our time in Alsace region (3 nites) and joining a tour in Annecy France. We love easy hikes, beautiful scenery and having opportunities to meet locals or other travelers. One option we have is 2 free nites at the Evian les Bains Hilton. However, if we do that, we miss Switzerland altogether, except for the drive through. Your wisdom and advice is greatly appreciated.

Well, from Evian les Bains it is just a short drive up to some nice Swiss mountain towns like Villars sur Ollon or Leysin or Les Diabrelets. Plenty of hikes up there.
