I will be in Lucern for a couple days (May 31 to June 2) and will need to go to Genoa Italy. I wanted to take a night train if possible to make efficient use of my time. Any suggestions on how to go about doing this?
There is no night train. You would take train to Milan and then change for a train to Genoa.
I would search SBB Swiss rail website
Jazz+Travels,
Thank you for your reply. I thought I just couldn't find a night train so thank you for your input.
There are no night trains between Switzerland and Italy. Italian Railways cancelled them all some years ago.
You can look up trains on the SBB website: https://www.sbb.ch/en
Use the local spellings of place names to avoid confusion, Luzern and Genova P. Principe. Plenty of trains and this will take 5½ to 6 hours.
