Hello!
I am travelling direct from Denver, Colorado to Zurich and land at 11:55 on a Saturday . How much time do you guys recommend to allow for a layover before we jump on a plane to Munich? I've got carry-on bags only.
Thank you!

If these are separate bookings, anything less than 4 hours is more stress than I would tolerate.
If it is a single booking, then whatever the airline schedules is OK.
Time of year ( weather issues) may affect the recommendation(s) you receive
By the time you wait the recommended four hours for a flight, you could almost be in Munich if you take the train.
There is a 12:48 departure from the airport that takes you to Munich with three changes, arriving at 17:27.
Or a 13:21 departure that goes directly to Munich (no changes), arriving at 17:47.
A ticket bought today for tomorrow's train costs €59,90. Purchasing at the airport after arrival might be more, but I can't tell how much.
On a single booking, we flew AirCanada with a 1 hour connection in May that surprisingly was more than enough time to get to our gate, which happened to be the furthest one possible. Wouldn't chance that on separate bookings though! I'd allow 2 hrs. minimum just to be sure.
With two separate tickets, a min of 4 to six hours with insurance.
And if you happen to have a Priority Pass by way of a credit card, you could spend a good part of that 4-hour layover in a comfortable lounge eating and drinking and enjoying Swiss chocolate.
Thank you everyone for the advice! I ended up booking a flight 4 hours later (with re-booking & cancel allowances) which will be a nice time to recover from the long flight over and stock up on Swiss goodies. We are taking the train back from Munich to Zurich so we get to have both experiences.
