How many days in Jungfrau Region??

Trying to plan a Swiss Travel for June 2024 for around 12-13 days....
Planning around 6 nights in Jungfrau region... is that too much or too little??

Planning many hikes and max out the Berner Oberland pass, plus the Jungfraujoch Top of Europe and Schilthorn

planning to stay at Wengen or Murren or Gimmelwald.. should I split up??

the rest of days will be split between Lucerne, Zermatt, Montreaux, Geneva and Bern..
Not sure if I'll have enough days to accomplish all those locations..

Don't split, not far enough apart to uproot your base. All very nice places to stay. Wengen has the advantage of being just about dead center in the transportation network and about center to the different sites.

Five nights is okay, four can work fine if you want to get to other place as well.

6 nights is good. That leaves some flexibility in case it rains, which I would count on. I would not split the stay. I would choose Wengen. Stunning views, and no construction (like in Murren for the next year). Several restaurants, plenty of hiking options. You can easily go up and over the mountain to Grindelwald, either via Mannlichen or Kleine Scheidigg. Wengen also gives you a head start for Jungfraujoch.

We spend 3 to 4 weeks a year in Lauterbrunnen and never run out of places to go and hikes to take.

Of your remaining 6 days, don’t try to stay too many places. Maybe two more and it depends heavily on where you fly into and out of.

I spent 4 nights in Wengen in September of 2023. That was just enough time to do the "major" things in the area. However, I had to skimp a little time on my visit to Schynige Platte and First. And this amount of time, really just let me visit the sites and explore a bit and gather my photos. I only did one official "hike" of about 2 hours. So, I would suggest 4-6 nights is about right, depending on what you wish to do. My weather was mostly perfect so that did not impede any of my plans. I did have some rain on my arrival day, so I spent the time exploring Wengen and doing laundry.

Good post - this reply nails timing. If you are a hiker and want to spend a lot of time hiking, and also want to travel around the area to see all of the sites, then 6 nights or longer. But you can hit the highlights and get out for a couple hikes in 4 nights.

I wouldn't go shorter though - you want to have at least 3 full days - the mountains always demand some time.
