We will be visiting Switzerland in early June, around the 5th. How would the weather be? Should we pack gloves, jackets..?
Thanks!

It depends which part of Switzerland you are going ? Yes we been in Switzerland last year for week & we need jackets after 6pm . Thanks
I’ve been looking at webcams and the snow has melted at low elevations but there appears to be a bunch still on the mid and upper mountains. One train in LV that generally opens in May has been delayed until early June.
I will be there as well, and have been monitoring the weather. Seems to be between 60-70 during day and 40s-50s at night. I'm bringing a light jacket, thin gloves, and a hat just in case. Packing for all seasons in just a backpack!
I found https://www.srf.ch/meteo to be the best weather forecast website for Switzerland. Just type in your destination in the box "Ort, Berg, PLZ suchen" and then Enter. If you click on the respective day, you get an almost hourly forecast for that day.
If you are in the mountains, you can have cold weather anytime. It could snow, or be warm. If warm during the day, it could be cold at night. Warm in the valley, cold up the mountain. Be prepared for anything. It is good to have a waterproof outer layer jacket anywhere, using layers when cold.
We were in Wengen in late May a few years ago and the hotel told us they had snow the week before. I would plan on layers and take gloves just in case of cool temps.
You can check climate averages recognizing that weather will likely be hotter or colder and wetter or dryer etc than the historic averages for the given month: https://www.meteoswiss.admin.ch/home/climate/swiss-climate-in-detail/climate-normals/climate-diagrams-and-normals--per-station.html?region=Table

You can also check the monthly outlook: https://www.meteoswiss.admin.ch/home/weather/forecasts/monthly-outlook.html
Note that temperatures drop 3F to 5F for every 1000 ft of elevation increase.
And if you pack too light, whip out the credit card and gear up.
Last week was hot here in Murren. Today is beautiful sunshine and clear blue skies. The evening clouds are beginning to roll in.
Tim,
You are probably there at the same time as Natarajan Srinivasan the creator of this thread.
