My husband and I will be in Switzerland next June. We are planning 2 to 3 nights in Zurich.
Which area in Zurich should we stay?
Thank you in advance

Unless you have work meetings, I can think of many more charming Swiss cities than Zurich, especially for 2-3 nights. Zurich is a banking center with a small old town. One day is enough.
Lucerne immediately comes to mind. Would you reconsider?
Safe travels!
It so happens Rick has a lot of thoughts on the matter in his guidebooks
I had such a miserable night at the Hotel Alexander that I just want to warn you about this hotel. If street noise is an issue to you, you might want to look elsewhere. The scene under my window was a loud party scene until 3-4 am. The street looked like a disaster zone the next morning. Lots of vomit and trash everywhere. Some people aren't bothered by street noise, but if you are, think twice before this hotel.
There’s been a lot of recommendations on here for the Hotel Adler.
Thank you all.
Yes, I would reconsider staying in Lucerne instead of Zurich and maybe do a day trip to Zurich...
Hotel recommendations in Lucerne? If we stay 3 or 4 days in Lucerne, where can we go to do day trips ?
Thanks again
Hotel des Alpes is highly recommended.
Day trips from Luzern, Rigi Kulm including boat ride to Vitznau to get the Rigibahn, Engelberg including Mt Titlis, many others.
Hi. Here is the page on this website for Luzern. You may want to check out the guidebook which will give lots of helpful info to begin your explorations. Libraries often have the guidebooks if you do not wish to purchase.
