Hotels in Murren

Any recommendations for moderately priced hotels in Murren for late September. I will be there for 4 nights to go hiking. Thanks

We stayed at the Hotel Jungfrau and loved it. Very nice rooms and an excellent restaurant. Do a google search and see if their rates fit your budget.

Echo the recommendation for Hotel Jungfrau. Perfectly located with short walks to either side of the village, run by very nice people.

Do your research on booking.com then contact the various hotels directly, for the best rates. In many cases, one gets a better price if stays are 4-5 night.
Have a wonderful time!

We will be staying at the Hotel Alpenblich in Sept. We stayed there in 2018, and thought that it very well met our needs. It is close to the train station which is a plus for us.

The thing about Mürren is that everyone loves the place they stayed, so you will get lots of recommendations. There is no “best”, IMO. It is that kind of place.

Are you traveling solo? That may limit your choices, as not all hotels offer true single rooms. Why don’t you have a look on booking.com on the options available for your dates, and come back and ask if you cannot make up your mind.

If you are traveling solo, and do not mind a shared bathroom, Chalet Fontana is a good option. It is a nice little Bed and Breakfast in the center of the village. The website says a single room is 60 CHF, but that may be outdated. The single room offered on AirBandB says $83, but that is with the AirBandB fees. Try emailing Denise directly.

Before you decide, check on the construction progress on the new Schilthorn cable car station they are building (on the side of town opposite from the train station). I think it has at least 1 more year to go. When I was there last June, an ugly construction crane marred the view from our VRBO, and construction trucks went by a couple of times a day. The central part of town is preferable.
