Coming off Viking cruise. Looking for a hotel to stay 1 or 2 nights

We stayed in the Hotel Krafft, on the opposite side of the river from the Old Town. We had a riverview room with a massive balcony and of course being on the opposite side, meant we had amazing views of the Cathedral and the town at night. Absolutely beautiful.
It was a two minute walk over the bridge to town, or there was a tram. Like in a lot of Switzerland, we were given the Basel card so trams were free.
