Hotel suggestions for Pontresina area (2 nights), and Chur (1 night)

In Chur, I can recommend the Hotel Freieck. I mean, its nothing special, but it was nice, quiet, on a leafy square in the old town, served breakfast, and was an easy walk to the train station. https://www.freieck.ch/en/Welcome

Take a look at Hotel Allegra and Hotel Garni Chesa Mulin. These are the two I considered most seriously when we planned a 2-night stay on Pontresina a few years back. My choice was based on location, price, and reviews I found. But we did not actually stay at either ( we stayed in nearby Samedan instead), so this is not a recommendation based on personal experience.

We had a comfortable stay just a week ago at the family owned Hotel Chesa Garni Mulin. It’s very welcoming, conveniently located and includes breakfast. We were given a pass to the pool, and if you go there you’ll love the pulsating water effects that are incredibly relaxing. Also, don’t miss the very interesting little Swiss Museum, Pontresina was a convenient stop for us between the Bernina Express and the Glacier Express.

We stayed in Samaden at Hotel Bernina 1865 a few year back. We loved it. Great service, price and not too far from the train station.

In Pontresina, I stayed at the Hotel Engandinerhof. Very nice. Felt a bit posh but inexpensive.
